Here's a suggestion: tell the MTA and NYC to do away with free metrocards for RETIRED MTA EMPLOYEES. I don't know what this costs the MTA but I'm sure you can find out. These former employees get pensions - they don't need free rides! That might free up the budget for students, who really need the help. Good luck! I cover the environmental problems of water shortages, food shortages, air pollution, climate change, species loss, waste generation in addition to world poverty.
