    Hallo,
my name is Chris Philpott from the U.K. I have been researching and writing a book about Green Spirituality for nearly 13 years and it is about to be published by Authorhouse. I am coming to New York from February 2011 and wondered if the Union would host a talk about my book and thereby generate debate about the relationship between spirituality and the environment. I cover the environmental problems of water shortages, food shortages, air pollution, climate change, species loss, waste generation in addition to world poverty. Please could you be so kind as to get back to me on this as I wish to plan my itinerary for my time in the States in 2011. Many examples I give are from the United States so it would be relevant to most students. I look forward to your reply.

    Best Wishes
    Chris Philpott

hi, i’m a student from Colorado. I am currently reseaching student Union’s for my persuasive essay in English. I’m considering organizing a Union in my small town school and I would appreciate any tips or recommendations you would have to make our Union a success.

    Thank you much,
    Jeremy Loutensock

I’m a former NYC Public School student and I believe in your cause. Here’s a suggestion: tell the MTA and NYC to do away with free metrocards for RETIRED MTA EMPLOYEES. I don’t know what this costs the MTA but I’m sure you can find out. These former employees get pensions - they don’t need free rides! That might free up the budget for students, who really need the help. Good luck!
