MARCH FOR STUDENT METROCARDS
In June the MTA will be holding their final vote on the fate of student metrocards. If they decide against us, it will be pretty hard to fight (not that we won’t try), so NOW IS THE TIME TO MAKE OUR VOICES HEARD. We need Bloomberg, Patterson and Walder to stop passing the buck and take responsibility for our futures!
Please join the New York City Student Union on Friday, June 11th for a march across the Brooklyn Bridge to tell those in charge that we can not and will not pay for public school.
I know many of you are thinking “there have been so many protests, do they even make a difference?” Yes, they do: the March vote was postponed because of all our resistance! We have to keep the heat on in these final weeks.
So let’s do it one more time! Dig up your sneakers, pull out the posters, and walk for your right to free public school.
Friday, June 11th, 2010
4:30pm - 7:00pm
Meeting in Cadman Plaza Park, Brooklyn at 4:30, and walking over the Brooklyn Bridge.
Cadman Plaza Park at the intersection of Cadman Plaza E. and Red Cross Place. (A/C to High Street or 2/3 to Clark st.)

I have been working( not much(sorry)) on a documentary based on this epidemic.. This epic showdown against new your city children, and their fight for justice. I would like to know from how young to how old will the protesters be, and who began this march. How old are you and are you a student? I would like to join the march and bring a vid camera out to record this for my doc. I hope we succeed!
